AIS Services

Monitoring your fleet worldwide? This is now possible with Satellite AIS by Royal Dirkzwager.

As an addition to our land-based AIS network, we are proud to offer you our latest service: Satellite AIS.

Most land-based AIS systems provide only limited coverage nearby shorelines and do not provide comprehensive global coverage at sea. Satellite AIS enables you to monitor your vessels worldwide, well beyond coastal regions, including the remote areas and inland waterways.

If you would like to learn more about our Satellite AIS service, please contact our service desk or your account manager.

Description

Besides Satellite AIS, Royal Dirkzwager also offers land-based AIS, by means of an Automatic Identification System which consists of an extensive network of AIS-receiving stations covering passage points and important shipping areas in the world.
Through AIS network, Royal Dirkzwager has access to a broad amount of information on actual and historical vessel position information.
This information is used to present actual positions of vessels on a map via the various web applications. Additionally this information is used to generate alert messages for predefined events such as port entry, departure, passages, etc.

It is possible to provide validated AIS data or XML streams to integrate in customer applications.

You can either use the AIS-based information on the current position of a vessel to determine Expected Time of Arrival at a certain location or make use of the alerts based on AIS data to initiate internal operational processes without the necessity to monitor current status and positions of a vessel (or even a fleet of vessels) continuously.
