The Seven Borealis is Subsea 7’s world-class enabler.
Keel laid by: Nantong Yahua Shipbuilding Commpany Limited at Nantong (CHR).
Launched : 19 Oct 2009. Construction completed: 21 Feb 2012 at Singapore.
technical management by: Acergy France S.A.

This pipelay/heavy lift vessel has been designed to meet the requirements of ultra-deep and deepwater operations.
Important is the design, construction and installation of a state-of the-art 600t S-lay system and installation of a 1000t J-lay tower. The J-lay tower has been installed in Vlissingen at VDS after a few months of maintenance.

Whip Line: Single fall: 55t at all radii. Double fall: 110t at all radii

Main Crane Tugger Winches: 4 x 45t pull. Constant tension up to 22t each

 

Main block is splitable into two blocks/hooks to allow jacket upending

Three point lifts can be achieved using the two main blocks and the auxiliary block
