Maritime & Nautical
Maritime Assistance
Every ship that enters the port or prepares to depart, needs to arrange it's business with the authorities in port, such as the harbour master, customs / immigration and the pilots. The ship's husbandry agent will liaise and assist the master in fulfilling all his obligations.
Suppliers of essentials such as water, fuel, stores and provisions, as well as other interested parties, must all be kept informed.
Back-up Services
We regularly receive information that other agency firms are facing workforce related capacity problems because of a temporary increase of workload, illness and / or vacations. Then, our operators are standby and available to assist.
Coastal & DeepSea Pilotage
Pilots who know the North Sea and the English Channel like the back of their hand, provide masters of vessels with experienced personal assistance when they navigate the shipping channels of one of the most difficult and congested waters in the world. They are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, prepared to extend their services to guarantee the safety of the ship and of the environment and to provide communication links to the authorities in the port.
Vessel Traffic Services - Offshore
And where drilling for oil or gas is taking place or a pipeline is being laid, the pilots are available to act as VTS-operators. They take their place on board the vessel / unit involved and direct nearby maritime traffic safely around it.
Nautical Consultancy
Lawyers and courts regularly call on the pilots, with their years of nautical experience to provide impartial assessments when disputes arise, for example in cases of collision or damage to cargo.
