PortCall
Web-based application for Rotterdam acting agents
Dirkzwager's PortCall System has been developed as a web-based application and assists in the administrative needs of an agent handling his port calls, by creating dossiers in an electronic archive. DirkPortCall is, as opposed to other PortCall Systems developed by Royal Dirkzwager, designed especially for use in the port of Rotterdam and later available for other ports. Therefore all the rules, costs and regulations for the port of Rotterdam are built in as well as interfaces to all port-community players in accordance with to the local standards.
With DirkPortCall, the agent has access to the full Royal Dirkzwager ships database with it's basic data for more than 107,000 seagoing vessels.
The functionality of DirkPortCall includes:
- Notifications to the Port authorities, Customs and Seaport Police, e.g. all IMO FAL forms and pre-arrival information;
- Messages to third parties (principals, captain, shipping companies, terminal operators, etc.), e.g. Dirkzwager's "message to a vessel", SoF and DA;
- Re-use of data. All information, like an ETA, is entered only once but can be used for all operations and procedures regarding a specific port call and her movement;
- Creating your own document templates. By using DirkPortCall you can create a user-defined document lay-out, which is especially useful for the SoF;
- Port calculator (Paid option)
The integrated port calculator enables you to calculate the harbour dues, especially useful for the DA;
Web-application
The application runs on a web-server located at and maintained by Royal Dirkzwager, so no investments in hardware and system administration are required. DirkPortCall enlists the fail-safe hosting facilities of Royal Dirkzwager, with an uptime of 99,95 %.
DirkPortCall is originally designed for Internet Explorer version 5.5 or above. Furthermore, a text editor (like Notepad, Wordpad or Word) is necessary to create your own specific document lay-out.
