ShipMovements
Graphical web environment to display vessel movements with integrated map server
The Royal Dirkzwager ShipMovements application can be used to display a variety of position poll information on a map. Either position polls from AIS transponders, GPS/GSM, GPS/Inmarsat C/D or other can be read, logged and displayed by the ShipMovements application. This results in a real time, graphical overview of your area.
Because different maps can be entered in the Mapserver, different users can see the information on their specifically requested map. Extensive user management makes it possible for the port authority to design a tailored made application for each individual user of the system, displaying selections of vessels, different colors for different types of vessels, different colors for different destinations etc.
Technique
The ShipMovements application is developed in HTML and ColdFusion. Server side an Intel Based server with Linux, MySQL and ColdFusion suffices. Due to the complex graphical interface, at the client side a PC with Internet Explorer 6 or higher or any web browser supporting VML is required.
