Background
In order to meet the market demand for comprehensive real time European ships' movement information services Royal Dirkzwager took the initiative to establish an internet based platform called ShipReporting.net.
Combination
ShipReporting.net is combining a European network of preselected information providers together with communication technologies. The comprehensive content enhanced with additional information like vessel characteristics enables ShipReporting to communicate validated information on a tailor made basis. As a result Royal Dirkzwager's database has now reached a standard in the Rotterdam port community other information providers cannot meet.
Pre-selected partners
Via a specific module content partners (e.g. Port Authorities and reporting companies) can exchange in a closed environment bound for information with each other. The information from the various content partners will be processed by ShipReporting.net and every content partner receives only the bound for movement to their specific port area from the other connected partners. Royal Dirkzwager is continuously adding new information sources to the ShipReporting platform to improve coverage of the movement database.
