WebPortCalculator
A (pre-) calculator to determine the costs of a vessel's visit to your port
The WebPortCalculator contains all the tariffs of the different service providers in your port such as towage, pilotage, boatmen etc. but also quay tariffs and all other port related costs. This way, the port authority can provide a service to the port community players by providing an easy to use port call cost estimator.
Tariff maintenance can be done with the easy to use tariff maintenance module.
Technique
The WebPortCalculator application is developed in HTML and ColdFusion. Server side an Intel Based server with Linux, MySQL and ColdFusion suffices. At the client side no specific hardware nor software is needed. Any PC, Apple or Intel based with a standard web browser, Internet Explorer or other, is sufficient.
